Joe Leote
I am an electrical engineer, patent expert, technology investment analyst, business strategist, consultant, author, and speaker.
Education
I earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College in 1989 and a Juris Doctor from Pierce Law in 1993.
Experience
Working as a Growth Stock Trader and Technology Investment Analyst I studied the technical characteristics of market leading stocks, and the growth models of underlying firms, to develop an effective stock trading system.
While employed as a Patent Attorney at Poms, Smith, Lande, and Rose I drafted patent claims to create valuable property rights for inventors and firms. I authored claims for semiconductor fabrication methods and devices, advanced digital, analog, and mixed signal circuits, electrical appliances and safety devices, a unique structural panel green building system, and electro-mechanical control systems. While under the supervision of Alan Rose, I authored a key patent for DP-TEK covering an invention for image enhancement. In 1997 Hewlett Packard purchased this patent with the research and development assets of DP-TEK for roughly 30 million dollars. These assets became part of HP's Resolution Enhancement Technology.
I was the Lead Electrical Engineer at Loral Electronic Systems Division responsible for design, build, and self-test checkout of the Automated Power Supply Test Program Set completed for delivery to the Air Force. This project supports maintenance of the LRU-2 Power Supply within the F-15 aircraft, two of which flew over New York on 9-11.
